16-Port Outdoor FTTH Fiber Termination Box

This 16-Port Outdoor FTTH Fiber Termination Box is designed as a termination and distribution point between feeder or distribution cable and subscriber drop cables in FTTx access networks. It combines fiber splicing, splitter installation, adapter connection and cable management inside one protected enclosure.

The 16 subscriber output positions make it suitable for neighborhood, building and outdoor access points where multiple FTTH drop cables need to be organized from a common feeder route.

Where This Box Fits in an FTTH Network

The box is typically installed at the point where a feeder or distribution cable is transitioned into multiple subscriber drop routes. Fibers can be spliced, organized and connected to a splitter or adapter configuration before the individual drop cables leave the enclosure.

For the complete access-network path from feeder cable and splitting to subscriber termination, see our FTTH Access Network solution.

Termination Box or Distribution Box?

A termination box is typically used closer to the subscriber distribution point, where feeder or distribution fiber is terminated and routed into a defined number of drop connections. It is well suited to compact FTTH access points with a known subscriber capacity.

A larger fiber distribution box is generally selected when the installation requires higher fiber capacity, more feeder or distribution routes, or a broader centralized distribution function.

Splitter and Connector Configuration

The internal layout can accommodate passive splitting and connectorized distribution depending on the network design. For passive optical distribution, see our PLC Splitters product range.

SC/APC is a common interface direction for FTTH installations. Where this interface is required, the box can be matched with compatible SC APC Simplex Single-Mode Fiber Adapters.

Configuration to Confirm

Before quotation, confirm the required subscriber port count, feeder and branch cable arrangement, drop cable type, splitter configuration, adapter interface, splice requirement, mounting method and quantity. A network drawing, existing box photo or project specification can help confirm the internal configuration before production.
