12-Fiber SC/APC Single-Mode Ribbon Fiber Pigtail

This 12-fiber ribbon pigtail is intended for ODFs, splice cassettes and distribution equipment where twelve single-mode fibers are terminated as one grouped assembly and presented through individual SC/APC ports. The ribbon section keeps the splice side together, while the connectorized fibers provide the required panel-side interfaces for repeated multi-fiber termination layouts.

For project design, the ribbon arrangement should be checked against the splice cassette and adapter-panel layout rather than specified from fiber count alone. The twelve SC/APC channels need to follow the required fiber sequence and port arrangement, while the pigtail length must provide enough routing distance between the splice position and the front adapter field without creating excessive slack inside the enclosure.

For volume deployment, the fiber count, SC/APC termination, ribbon structure, connector sequence and pigtail length should be fixed as one approved configuration before production. This allows the same termination assembly to be repeated across multiple ODFs, cabinets or distribution sites without changing the splice and port layout from one unit to another.
