The 1x4 SC/APC Single-Mode FBT Fiber Splitter divides one optical input into four output branches through fused biconical taper technology. The compact steel tube package protects the internal coupling element while keeping the overall device small enough for integration inside fiber distribution boxes, termination enclosures, equipment compartments and other installations where available space is limited. Connectorized SC/APC pigtails provide a defined interface at the input and output sides, allowing the splitter to be incorporated into a project without adding a separate field-termination step at each branch.

A 1x4 FBT splitter should be selected according to more than the number of output ports. The operating wavelength, single-mode fiber specification, required optical power distribution, SC/APC connector configuration and pigtail construction all affect whether the finished assembly matches the intended optical system. The steel tube format is particularly useful where the optical component needs to remain compact and protected while the pigtails are routed separately inside an enclosure. Pigtail length, fiber diameter and available routing space should therefore be reviewed together with the optical requirements before the final configuration is approved.

For project and quantity orders, buyers should provide the required operating wavelength, output power distribution or split requirement, fiber specification, pigtail construction and length, together with any insertion-loss, return-loss, directivity or other acceptance limits already defined by the project. These details give the supplier a complete specification for quotation and production instead of relying on the 1x4 port count alone. When multiple splitters are used in the same installation, the approved configuration also provides a consistent reference for incoming inspection, installation planning and later replenishment of the same product specification.
